How I Can Help
The work is all about you, so the therapy is different with each person I work with. There’s no limit on what you can raise – quite often the issues that someone really needs to talk about aren’t the ones that they initially thought they would discuss.
I work in a non-judgemental way, so there is nothing you can’t raise. The idea is that we talk together, and sometimes I will be able to point out things you might not have been conscious of, and we can look together at whether there are patterns of behaviour that you’ve come to follow, that may perhaps be leading to results you would like to change. Or perhaps sometimes you will just want to unload the burden of your stressful day, and that’s also fine.
Like any other relationship, a therapeutic relationship is about being able to build an alliance and feel trust, so it is important that you choose a therapist you think you will be able to work well with.

Fees
I charge £65-85 per session. I am happy to work either on a short-term basis for a pre-agreed number of sessions, and or longer-term on an open-ended basis. Sessions are weekly at the same time each week, but there is the possibility of some limited flexibility for those working on a different rota or timetable each week. We can discuss more about how this works when we speak.
I also have a limited number of low-cost spaces for students and those on low incomes during the day, so feel free to enquire if that is you.
How Do We Start ?
We start with a free, no-obligation, 10-15 minute chat by phone or zoom, where you can ask any questions you want to, and work out whether you think we would work well together. The next step would be an assessment, which would normally take between 60 and 90 minutes, at the end of which we would decide whether we would take things forward.
To set up the initial free chat, just email me at bernard@therapywithbernard.com, with your name and phone number, and some times when it would (or would not) be good to speak.

Get in Touch
I work in Central London, EC1. However, at the moment due to Covid, I am only working online and by telephone. I am happy working with clients anywhere in the UK, as long as there is somewhere you can talk in peace and privacy.
