How I Can Help
Do you feel like you're struggling with your mental health or relationships? As a psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist, I work together with individuals seeking support with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, and work or relationship difficulties.
I offer a confidential and compassionate therapeutic approach tailored to your unique needs. You might want to explore past experiences and how they are impacting you at present, or discuss something that’s going on for you right now, and are looking to talk to a professional with whom you can feel heard and understood.
I work in a non-judgemental way, so there is nothing you can’t raise. The idea is that we talk together, and we can look together at whether there are patterns of behaviour that you’ve come to follow, that may perhaps be leading to results you would like to change. Or perhaps sometimes you will just want to unload the burden of your stressful day, and that’s also fine.

Fees
I charge £65-85 per session. I am happy to work either on a short-term basis for a pre-agreed number of sessions, and or longer-term on an open-ended basis. Sessions are normally weekly at the same time each week.
I also have a limited number of low-cost spaces for students and those on low incomes during the day, so feel free to enquire if that is you.
How Do We Start ?
We start with a free, no-obligation, 10-15 minute chat by phone or zoom, where you can ask any questions you want to, and work out whether you think we would work well together. The next step would be an assessment, which would normally take between 60 and 90 minutes, at the end of which we would decide whether we would take things forward.
To set up the initial free chat, just email me at bernard@therapywithbernard.com, with your name and phone number, and some times when it would (or would not) be good to speak.
